Some Kufic projects done in between marking sessions:
square kufic: 'Allah' in Arabic
.
Based on a previous design. After starting out with very amateurish and simplistic-looking Square Kufic pieces, we delved into more complex designs, encouraged and spurred by khat calligraphy master, awangpurba of Malaysia.
.
The next design is a Romanized Square Kufic, reading Fadilah-Naguib. To be hung on our yellow wall.

Salam bro

I love the romanized kufic designs. Am itching to commission one from you (which I will, one day).

All the best for the mid year, dude. :)

Hello Nagfa, I just wanted to say hello and tell you that I love the Allah artwork, as well as the designes posted below. The colors are bright, they look great against the yellow wall.

Good job.

thanks ink-bro, and elwin.

they did take (such) a long time to complete, during periodic gulps of fresh air in between ocean-swims of marking students' assignments.

and they are not as perfect as they seem to suggest; with us rediscovering our (very) ancient (non-existent) skill in using the paintbrush..

salam,
nagfa
