reflecting into:

Been awhile since our last reflection piece. This should read easily enough.

ambigram & reflection: edge
.
Style-wise, a nod to goenetix's stark simplified geometries.

ambigram & reflection: white-myth
.
A lot of 'white'-inspired designs.. wonder why.. this time, combining two recent designs - white reflection and myth reflection - to come up with one which has both vertical and horizontal symmetry.

reflection: the.B.side
.
The B-Side. The B-S designed to look like a butterfly or a bat: a bat-terfly.

reflection: nagfa flower
.
A nagfa rose especially for Fa, the beautifly.

Was doodling around when a familiar word presented itself with a simple reflection opportunity:
reflection: atlanta
.
Then, looking at the gradient formed by the first and last 'A's, figured that another presentation could be conjured up. Hence..:
reflection: atlanta pyramid
.
Further observations culminated in the realisation that the 90-degree apex of the 'pyramid' could be but a quadrant of a square; and that this could be further experimented on. Hence..:
reflection: atlanta
.
...and the presentation was topped off by a similar treatment to the nagfa signature logo.

Something special, a design with both vertical and horizontal symmetry.

ambigram & reflection: elixir
.
A further study of the previous 'elixir' reflections brought to us this solution: double vertical-horizontal symmetry.

Labels: , ,

ambigram & reflection: elixir-elixir
.
After the previous 'elixir' design, this was a natural step to highlight the possible vertical-horizontal symmetry of the word.

A rediscovered old design (circa 2000, we started by designing reflections) and after the necessary touch-ups:

reflection: elixir
.
Then, we realised it could be inverted into a fine metal-butterfly... so:
.
reflection: elixir
.
... and surprise, surprise, the word 'elixir' could just about be read still..

As a token of friendship and support for one of our earlier Ambigram Mates, on the first anniversary of his blog this March, nagfa presents an updated, more futuristic reflection of his pseudonym:

reflection: america
.
Can't resist the symmetry in the word 'america'. To 'authenticized' the design, we included the colours - red, blue and white - and 50 stars representing the 50 states from its flag. The central 'e' is a stylized version of the Uncle Sam icon: that patriotic top-hat-wearing guy pointing straight at us.

reflection: singapura
.
Singapura: the original Sanskrit name for Singapore. A patriotic design, using the colours and emblems from the Singapura flag: red and white, 5 stars (even the flag hints of the service industry!) and the crescent moon.
